Strawberries are one of the first fruits to become available at the farmers market. I always try to freeze a few for dressings and smoothies for the rest of the year. Fresh local vine ripened strawberries just can’t be beat and while they are in season you can count on me eating as many as I can get my hands on!

I never recognized the flavor being that of barbeque, but I guess that's it's closest relative. I don't remember loving it as a kid, but that's all changed. A meal that was cringeworthy yet somehow also nostalgic has been reimagined into something that is delicious and packed with veggies that the whole family will beg for seconds!
